Teachers Federation Office Building @ Surry Hills

An Essential Services inspection for Fire Seals as per AS1581 was carried out to all levels throughout the office building including one level of carpark. A full itemised cost analysis was completed with recommendations and photos.

Repair/Installation works carried out included:
Fire board structural steel protection; fire retardants to fire curtains; smoke seals for doors; smoke ceilings within electrical cupboard; fire rated barrier systems to “Post Mix” drink lines; fire rated board enclosures to penetrations; intumescent fire dampers; fire pillows; fire rated mastics; fire collars and intumescent fire seals.
 

Serviced Apartments @ Botany

An Essential Services inspection for Fire Seals and Fire Dampers as per AS1581 was carried out for all serviced apartments throughout the building including a carpark level. A full itemised cost analysis was completed with recommendations and photos.

Repair/Installation works carried out included:
Repair works to existing fire dampers to Standard of Performance AS1682.2, installation of ceiling access panels for the annual inspection to fire dampers, Vermiculux fire board enclosures to services in fire stairs, fire pillow and fire rated mastic seals to electrical cupboard, fire collars and intumescent fire seals to plastic pipes and insulated metal pipes, creation of log book inspection register to penetration seals as per AS4072.1, creation of a fire damper register complete with a 5 year inspection program as per AS1851.
 

Construction Watching Brief to Apartments
@ Elizabeth Bay

Passive First assessed the compliance of the installed fire safety measures such as “Fire Seals Protecting Opening in Fire Resisting Components of the Building”, “Fire Dampers”, “Light Weight Construction” and “Access Panels and Door Hoppers to fire resisting shafts”. All defects noted during our construction watch brief included reports and recommendations to contractors how to correct any faults, together teaching contractors the importance for the compliance of Passive Fire Rated Systems.

Passive First installation works included:
Fire board enclosures to services within fire stairs, Fire board enclosures complete with intumescent seals to armaflex lagged copper pipes, installation of fire wraps to plastic pipes, backing rod and fire mastic seal to movement joints throughout the building, fire pillow and mastic seals to hydraulic and electrical services and the installation of 1hr fire rated access panels to shaft risers.
 

Illawarra Performing Arts Centre (IPAC) @ Wollongong  

An Essential Services inspection for Fire Seals as per AS1581 was carried out to all fire walls and floors throughout the building including. A full itemised cost analysis was completed with recommendations and photos.  

Repair/Installation works carried out included: Fire rated board enclosures to services in fire stairs, fire pillows and fire rated mastic to electrical penetrations; smoke seals to doors, fire collars and intumescent fire seals to plastic pipes and insulated metal pipes. 

Village Plaza @ Shepherds Bay, Meadowbank

An Essential Services inspection for Fire Seals as per AS1851 was carried out for the entire shopping centre.  Our report consisted of a full itemised cost analysis complete with recommendations and photos.  

Repair/Installation works carried out included: Vermiculux Fire rated ceilings; fire rated board enclosures; fire board structural steel protection; fire pillows and fire rated mastic; fire collars and intumescent fire seals.
